With sales of c€170m and some 700 employees, the company is a leading developer of specialist adhesives. With a truly global presence, its premium quality products have applications in a range of industrial sectors including wood-working and furniture, automotive, paper and packaging and textiles. Its UK subsidiary is enjoying impressive levels of sales growth and is now keen to strengthen its small but highly committed team with this key appointment.
The Challenge:
To achieve profitable sales growth through positioning the company to key decision-makers as a technical solutions provider.
To increase market share and sales through building and maintaining strong working relationships in the production, technical and purchasing functions of prospective and existing clients.
To establish a strong presence in a range of sectors including paper and packaging, wood-working and furniture, textiles and automotive.
To manage product trials at customers’ sites, liaising closely with equipment manufacturers and the central R&D function whilst striving for total customer satisfaction.
The Candidate:
Should be able to demonstrate how you have achieved profitable sales growth through selling high-quality technical solutions. Ideally, you will have a thorough understanding of adhesives, although candidates from other backgrounds will also be considered.
Of graduate calibre, qualified in either a technical, scientific or commercially-based discipline, a knowledge of one or more of the following sectors may be beneficial: wood-working/furniture, paper/packaging, automotive or textiles.
You should possess excellent communication skills which enable you to build and maintain relationships at a variety of levels (from shopfloor to director) with technical, purchasing and production functions.
Strong candidates will be self-motivated and driven with high levels of tenacity and will be committed to delivering outstanding levels of customer service.
