Asset Performance Manager/Maintenance Manager

Backed by the resources of a major international group, it continues to invest in its UK manufacturing operations and now seeks an ambitious engineering professional capable of driving the business to improved performance.
The Challenge:
To provide motivational and hands-on leadership to a maintenance team comprising three Maintenance Cell Leaders and seven Fitters/Electricians.
To implement robust TPM processes which lead to significant and sustained improvements in asset performance and OEE.
To deliver factory-wide improvement projects, transforming the maintenance culture from reactive to proactive, leading to improved profitability.
To build close working relationships with the production function, ensuring downtime is planned to enable your function to undertake preventative tasks and equipment overhauls.
Through coaching and mentoring, to ensure that your team has the relevant skills to perform its role whilst undertaking all tasks with the strictest regard for health and safety.
The Candidate:
Educated to HNC or Degree level in either a mechanical or electrical engineering discipline, you should currently be operating in a maintenance/asset improvement capacity.
Should be able to demonstrate how you have significantly improved asset performance within a demanding, high-volume manufacturing environment.
Should have gained experience in a company committed to Lean/World Class Manufacturing and will have delivered positive results through your application of TPM.
Should have managed significant capital projects including machine moves, decommissioning and new installations.
Should possess high levels of enthusiasm and energy which enable you to secure the total buy-in and commitment from your team and internal customers.
