Richard Owen, Southampton

Born in Bristol, Richard gained a first degree in Accounting and Finance and worked for a provincial auctioneer for a number of years following graduation. He joined the recruitment industry in 1987 with a national company, in which his first role was to recruit a range of finance specialists from middle managerial level to board appointments. This led to a transfer to head up a large team which recruited middle and senior managerial staff, again to board level, throughout the UK and overseas within the construction and ancilliary industries.
Following several successful years within the industry and a few outside it, he fulfilled an ambition to study full-time for an MBA. This was completed successfully in 1995, after which he joined FR Europe. Since that time, he has contributed to the development of a client base that comprises organisations in most sectors and disciplines, including pharmaceutical, engineering, finance and general management. Many of these have been undertaken internationally.
Unlike most, he thinks that a round of golf spoils a good walk so prefers to bowl a slightly larger, redder ball at unsuspecting batsmen on some of the greener wickets in Hampshire.
Paul Shave, Southampton
Paul co-founded FR Europe in 1991 and the International CFR Consulting Group® in 1996. In a recruitment career spanning 20 years, Paul has managed numerous middle and senior management Search & Selection assignments, nationally and internationally in most industries, but has been particularly active in the heavy engineering, pharmaceutical, chemical & oils and entertainment sectors. Although based in the UK, Paul is spending an increasing amount of time in Lisbon assisting CFR’s Portuguese business. He also has a wider international remit for CFR to expand further into new, strategically important, worldwide locations.
In his spare time, Paul is improving his Portuguese language skills and his poor golf handicap, but seems to be enjoying more success with the linguistic rather than the sporting challenge!
Angus Keiller, Newark

A Business graduate, Angus began his career in commercial and HR management in manufacturing. This has been followed by over 20 years experience in middle and senior management Search & Selection.
Angus was a founding Director of FR Europe and was later one of the prime movers in the establishment of the wider CFR Group through which international assignments are completed.
He is actively involved in managing senior Search & Selection assignments across a wide range of disciplines and industries including manufacturing, engineering and the not-for-profit sectors.
An incurable ‘petrol head’, in his spare time Angus looks forward to thrashing his TVR sports car around the race tracks of England.
Roger Ruane, Newark
Roger helped to found FR Europe and since that time, he has developed a broad client base across numerous sectors. He has managed Search & Selection assignments in the automotive, electronics, construction products, oil & gas, healthcare, general manufacturing and engineering industries. Roger speaks French and Spanish and has undertaken many projects in the UK for clients of the company’s European partners.
When not managing assignments, Roger enjoys keeping fit and he is a keen golfer who help to raise £3,500 for charity in a sponsored golf marathon during 2008. His target for 2009 was to take his handicap into single figures but sadly 11 was the best he managed. Let's hope 2010 sees some better scores!
